Heeding my own wanderlust desires, I, too, have been meticulously building a short list of getaways that provide me instant "ahhhhhh”: Rehoboth Beach in Delaware is my summer essential, where time truly seems to stand still with daily dolphin sightings and nights spent strolling the boardwalk and choosing my nightly sweet treat from Candy Kitchen. Post Oscars, I head straight to the Parker Palm Springs, a Jonathan Adler-designed oasis complete with a sumptuous spa, cozy firepits, and the best fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies I've ever had. And, in keeping with the requisite New Year rejuvenation theme, I am just back from paradise - The Emerald Lake Lodge in British Columbia. If there was ever a Winter Wonderland, this snowy paradise is surely it. Following a week of snowboarding, ice skating, showshoeing and snow angel-making, I am ready to hit the ground running. Weary feet are soooo last year.
