Milliner Kokin Opens Lexington Ave Boutique 10.24.2011

The award for the accessory of the year goes to hats, and now with Kokin’s new Lexington Avenue boutique every cap connoisseur has a new favorite shop. Kokin has been in the hat biz for nearly 30 years and is one of the country’s last great milliners. On hand to host the hat makers store opening were hosts Stacey Bendet, Amy Fine Collins and Lizzie Tisch and guests like Pam Price, Devon Aoki, Ali Wise and Patricia Field. Kokin’s glam space features custom and bridal services as well as a space for his hats to call home. Kokin’s hats have been used by some of fashion’s finest designers like Oscar de la Renta, Bill Blass, Zac Posen and Catherine Malandrino. As if Kokin’s creations don’t speak for themselves, stars like Sarah Jessica Parker, Sophia Loren, Raquel Welch, and Julia Roberts have all worn his designs.
