SPOTLIGHT. As the days get longer and the air grows chillier, New Yorkers have managed to turn up the heat and keep the spotlight on this October. Corsets and lace took a tumble with microfinance at Cipriani for the Lingerie New York presentation, benefiting Seven Bar Foundation, and the team at ShinAdvisors dazzled. Directed by Renata Mutis Black and Kim Hoedeman and co-chaired by Amanda Cadenet, Deepak Chopra, Minnie Driver, Eva Jeanbart-Lorenzotti, and Veronica Webb and hosted by Sofia Vergara, the show and gala featured couture lingerie modeled by hot, leggy models such as Elsa Benitez, Liya Kebede, and Crystal Renn. |

Guests such as Carmen Busqets, Cheryl Casone, Dennis and Coralie Charriol Paul, Silas Chou, Cristina Cuomo, Wayne Girard, New York Jets' Braylon Edwards, Russell Simmons, Lillian Stern, Valesca Guerrand-Hermes, and Tracy Stern gasped as aerialists masquerading as waitresses threw off their uniforms and soared above the crowd in Y panties to signify the product's initiative: "Y not save the world on a g-string?"
