Le Magnifique
Monaco native and chef-owner Stephanie Laurent's restaurant Le Magnifique holds true to its name. Casual elegance and sublime French cuisine have already made the newcomer a neighborhood favorite, and the bar - lined with unique black and white prints associated with La Nouvelle Vague - becomes quite a lively scene in the evenings! On summer evenings outdoor dining on the quiet street channels a perfect Parisian night; a glass of chilled Sancerre paired with the sautéed baby artichokes or le risotto du jour are favorites amongst regulars. Laurent named the restaurant for her favorite 1973 film, Le Magnifique, and loves that its location also happens to be on 73rd street. Offering breakfast, lunch, tea, and Thursday night "Alors on Dance" festivities with DJ Super Jamie playing from 8pm to midnight, the spot is a summer standout.
