W Hotels Announces “Fashion Next” Designers

Fashion week is underway, but W Hotels got a head start on the festivities with a cocktail soiree on February 6 to announce the Fall 2012 class of designers for their Fashion Next program.

The designers of Rochambeau, Vice President W Hotels Worldwide Carlos Becil, Bibhu Mohapatra,

W Hotels Global Fashion Director Jenne Lombardo, the designer Yara Flinn of Nomia, Suzanne Rae and the designers of Haus Alkire.

Jenné Lombardo, the Global Fashion Director of W—announced the designers to a stylish crowd at Lilium, the hot spot at W Union Square, as DJ Chelsea Leyland spinned tunes late into the night.  The Fashion Next designers that will take part in the W’s initiative to support emerging design talent include Haus Alkire, Suzanne Rae, Bibhu Mohapatra, Nomia, and Rochambeau.

Guests including Waris, Peter Levy, Keith Baptista and Mazdack Rassi joined the Fashion Next designers for the celebration. The fashionable partygoers sipped on cocktails designed by W’s Director of Cocktail Culture, Joseph Boroski and watched the interactive light installation by Ziegelbaum + Coelho.
