If you get an invitation in the mail from a former “multi-million dollar hedge fund manager”, and classified, ‘It’ girl, to attend her birthday party —you best not decline.  The launch of cosmetic line vbeauté, which coincided as a birthday party and benefited the VH1 Save the Music Foundation, was the best party in Manhattan mid-December.

Dancing to the tunes of DJ D’Cruz with a performance by artist Sean-Paul, designers Jason Wu, Zang Toi, Yigal Azrouël, Chris Benz, Eddie Borgo and notables Alina Cho, and Ann Dexter Jones, all celebrated with the birthday girl, Julie Macklowe, at The Box in Manhattan.

Now that I’ve referenced such cerebral social circles that Macklowe hangs with—enter Julie Macklowe Founder of vbeauté who is most definitely loving life!  Sweet, smart and chic this is one sassy lady who is about to take on the beauty industry, and I had the opportunity to chat with her at boutique Forty Five Ten where she has launched her line in Dallas.
