Don’t tell the Tooth Fairy, but “Le Knockout,” a new specialty jewelry company, has a curious way to make use of those baby teeth your sentimental side can’t bear to throw away. The daring company, founded in 2009 by Kim Kovel, puts a touch of Goth in the sweet and sentimental with her “Le Collection 2010″ by taking casts of real teeth, and then creating one of a kind pieces of wearable art crafted from recycled gold and fair trade gemstones. It only takes two weeks.

Kim Kovel remarks, “There is something quite intoxicating about wearing a loved one’s charm. It’s a powerful gesture that people can relate to at so many levels.” Mothers will love it, but everybody will want to wear it. It’s just edgy enough to be super cool. Whether you’re a fan of pirates, an orthodontist’s daughter (like I am), or just a fan of the extraordinary, a piece from “Le Knockout” is a guaranteed conversation piece. The Tooth Fairy only wishes she came up with this idea.

Has “Le Knockout” thought of immortalizing a sweet pet’s baby tooth?
