Equinox’s yoga instructor, Briohny Smyth has mastered the art of slow, purposeful movements that are transported by the breath. From downward dog to child’s pose, Smyth showcases her practice in the video, “The Contortionist.”

Sculpted arms and thighs like Smyth’s transpire with dedication and awareness. When you commit,” says Lashaun Dale, Equinox’s national creative manager of group fitness, “you can have that kind of magic on the mat.”

So pop in a DVD or attend a class to still the mind and strengthen muscles you never knew you had. Restore energy to the mind and body for a rewarding day. Why not make it a goal to work towards, that moment of magic?
