MANHATTAN VINTAGE-A-THON |

Even though we wish the Manhattan Vintage Clothing Show was a permanent NYC installation, the traveling bazaar only spreads vintage couture love three times a year, bringing together over 75 of the country’s top dealers and making us drool at the designs of yester-year. Manhattan Vintage returns to the Metropolitan Pavilion this Friday, April 23 and Saturday, April 24, bringing back all that antique awesomeness and featuring a 70’s rock t-shirt exhibit. Don’t miss this fabulous event! PinkMemo will be in attendance and will report back with all the juicy tidbits on Monday!

[...] As Promised, I hit the Manhattan Vintage Clothing Show last weekend and was overwhelmed by the quantity of beautiful slices of the past that were present: etched lucite box purses, Bohemian sundresses, giant neon flower brooches, drop-waisted silk Gatsby dresses, 70’s rock tees and bolts of seersucker fabric printed with small guitars. If it was vintage and beautiful, you could find it there. Although the Metropolitan Pavilion was not a mob scene, there was a definite air of excitement as the crowd comprised of stylists, costume designers and collectors perused the various antiquities (it’s a little bit of a secret, but designers are known to hit up this show to get inspiration for their collections).
