Karl Lagerfeld Reveals Rock n Roll Women’s Collection

Karl Lagerfeld is taking his signature business to new heights, launching a 100-piece women’s rock ’n’ roll inspired collection featuring fingerless gloves, silvery jeans, detachable collars, and elegant cocktail dresses. The designer will debut his latest fete at Paris Couture Week in February. Pieces, retailing from $95 to $450, will be sold exclusively on Net-a-porter and eventually on karllagerfeld.com.

The denim and leather heavy collection targets women in their late teens and early twenties. “It’s my today’s taste and style and a reflection of how I think a great number of people would like to be dressed now,” says Lagerfeld.

Lagerfeld and Pier Paolo Righi, the new president of Karl Lagerfeld BV have big plans to expand the brand, including a new signature collection Karl Lagerfeld Paris, pop-up shops, “Karl Lagerfeld experience” flagship boutiques, a redesigned, in-depth Web site and a brand book. The “guru of fashion,” as Righi describes the designer, even revamped his iconic label.
