Celebs Gather To Celebrate Upcoming Film “My Week With Marilyn”

“It’s been a long campaign to get to this night. It’s what you call a passion project,” said director Simon Curtis, who joyfully attended the prescreening cocktail party at the Hudson Hotel for his latest, and perhaps Oscar worthy fete, “My Week With Marilyn.”

Harvey Weinstein, Zac Posen, Coco Rochas and Gina Gershon were among the celebrities at the Dior-sponsored party, who celebrated the movie’s all-star cast featuring Michelle Williams, Kenneth Branagh, Eddie Redmayne, Dominic Cooper and Emma Watson.

Michelle Williams, who wore a stunning Dior number, portrays the dynamic Marilyn Monroe. “Luckily, I never approached the role thinking about other people’s expectations; only now am I thinking about that,” said Williams. “We all know her from the iconography but what I was after was her soul.”

After the film’s successful screening at the New York Film Festival, it seems like this one is a real winner! It arrives in theaters November 4.
