Catherine Malandrino + Lacoste

We filled you in on the designer changes happening at Lacoste, today, the sportif French brand has hit our radar due to their latest collaboration with Catherine Malandrino.

The capsule collection, featuring a brand new logo of two kissing crocs, is a more feminine take on the classic styles: a draped day dress with three-quarter length sleeves, a hooded cocoon cardigan, a pleated bustier dress and croc inspired shoes and bags. Not only is this a chance for Malandrino to try her hand at a more active clothing range, but it will be her first endeavor at a lower priced line, with styles retailing at $125 to $495.

“Right now I am more interested in building my own collection, but at the same time I know how we can make Lacoste more feminine,” Malandrino told WWD. “We can bring that vocabulary of emotion, desire and seduction to the brand. I am very excited, too, to get into this world of active clothing. As a woman, as a mother and as an active woman, I can bring fashion and fun to everyday life. This is a very special project for Lacoste. It is the first time the company has collaborated with a designer.”

The collection will debut in April at Malandrino’s 10 freestanding stores and Lacoste’s 67 boutiques.
