Asia Society 4th Annual Celebration

Who better than the Asia Society to ring in the 4^th annual celebration of Asia Week New York.  Over 400 guests gathered to recapture the convivial spirit of 1930’s Shanghai at the elegant Plaza Hotel in New York City.  The guest list was paramount representing the best of Asia in art, fashion, cuisine, music and design. With music by Le Zhang Quartet, the fashionable crowd dressed for the occasion in elegant gowns and cheongsams.

The guests enjoyed dinner in the candle-lit Grand Ballroom featuring extraordinary tabletop décor with a treasure trove of artisan porcelains, hand-painted linens, jeweled candelabras, even live tropical fish and of course gorgeous florals in a tented dining salon setting. Apres dinner, guests tripped the light fantastic with performer and DJ Donna D’Cruz.

Asia Society’s Celebration of Asia Week gala brings together leading Asian American designers and artists, as well as Asian art dealers, collectors and enthusiasts, in a benefit to support Asia Society’s museum and cultural activities and its mission of connecting Asians and Americans. Asia Week New York, is a collaboration of museums, galleries, auction houses and Asian art specialists hosting exhibitions, previews and special programs throughout the city geared toward a discerning audience from around the world.
