2010 Turns Turquoise

Pantone, the “global authority on color,” has named turquoise the official color of 2010. The company’s executive director, Leatrice Eiseman, said their selection of the inviting, luminous hue was easy thanks to its soothing qualities. “Turquoise represents an escape to many,” she explained, “taking them to a tropical paradise that is pleasant and inviting, even if only a fantasy.”

ACRIA Dinner

The AIDS Community Research Initiative of America (ACRIA) presented its 14th annual holiday dinner hosted by Ross Bleckner, Bob Colacello, Francisco Costa, Reinaldo & Carolina Herrera and Donna Karan.  Samantha Perelman accepted the award honoring her mother Claudia Cohen and Acria Gallery art work from celebrated artists was available throughout the elegant evening.
