Chalayan/J Brand Collaboration

Avant-garde designer Hussein Chalayan has collaborated with lauded and loved denim line J Brand to bring you three pairs of perfect jeans. Sick and tired of hearing that he doesn’t design “real clothes,” Chalayan decided to collaborate with the denim brand’s creative director Susie Crippen on a capsule collection of more accessible, yet still high-concept pieces. Why denim?  “Jeans,” the daring designer told Crippen, “are the joker card of your wardrobe – they work with everything.”

The trifecta includes the Beau Jean, a more streamlined version of the boyfriend jean; the Circuit, an ankle length number that flatters by being fitted and loose in just the right places; and the Legging, a painted-on pair with subtle darting and seams that boost the derriere.

Chalayan even cobbled together a cool video featuring a model wearing the jeans, walking through his exhibit at the Design Museum in London.  Watch it HERE.
