09.30.2010 | Les Ateliers Ruby, luxury purveyor of haute Pavillon helmets for well-heeled (well-headed?) Vespa and motorcycle riders (like moi!), can best be described as the Goyard of skull protectors. In addition to offering a design-your-own helmet option (pink polka dots!), head designer Jerome Coste collaborated with Karl Lagerfeld on a series of helmets (Coste has also worked with Eley Kishimoto and Phen Hillenburg, the man behind Spongebob Squarepants). Ultimately, a tweed-covered design was produced in a limited edition run of 100 pieces offered at $1800 each.
