FACE TIME
We're stuck in a time warp here at PinkMemo, and the ‘70s seems to be our favorite decade. Forget the classic smoldering eyes and red lips - for Marc Jacobs Spring 2011, François Nars and his team were inspired by Anjelica Huston in her heyday, creating a smoky emerald eye shade and Bordeaux lip hue that turn these nighttime go-to formulas into disco-worthy looks.
"For the Marc show, the reference was sharply pointed at the ‘70s - a decadent eye, bleached eyebrows, and a deep lip," James Boehmer, Nars' right-hand man (and lead artist) told us. "Marc is always an innovator, and it's no surprise that the ‘70s became the trend of the season after it appeared on his runway. I think we'll definitely see this run its course for spring."
