Eric Villency, principal of Villency Design Group, has design in his blood. He grew up in a family of artists, and his grandfather, Maurice Villency, began hand-making furniture in 1932. Villency first joined the flourishing family business in 1999, helping to move and deliver truckloads of furniture to customers and eventually working his way up. Now 35, following a stint as a model for Dolce & Gabbana and Calvin Klein, he returned to his roots and began expanding the Villency brand—adding home accessories, branding, and a custom design service. An accomplished designer, Villency is also a regular contributor on NBC's Today Show and currently writes for The Huffington Post. He lives in New York with his son, Ronan. |
