Ezra Petronio is the artistic director behind some of your favorite fashion campaigns (Chloe, Miu Miu, YSL), the photographer behind some of your favorite famous Polaroids, and the brains behind one of the last glossies with some real verve out there, the bi-annual Self Service Magazine. We chatted with Petronio about fashion, Warhol, what it's like working with your spouse, and what the effect of the digital world will have on fashion.

How did your signature Polaroid shot become that? Was it an accident or a studied decision? It was an accident, but the idea of documenting was a studied decision. It happened 10 years ago - the magazine is about 15 years old - we felt so privileged to see a magazine that covered all different arts; from the establishment to architects, to designers and writers. We thought, wow, it's such a privilege to have this magazine as a medium of documentation, when a friend said, "you should take the pictures!" So, we bought all these old vintage cameras as homage to Warhol, and they make the photos look glam because they use a flash that diffuses a lot of light. I'm still an art director though, I'm not a photographer per se.
