Soraya Bakhtiar -- 21 years old and a Leo (that says it all) -- grew up in Geneva, Switzerland, with Iranian and Egyptian roots. She’s currently studying psychology and media communications, with an emphasis on photography, at Webster College in Geneva, and she plans to move to New York City to pursue her career in fashion journalism upon her graduation in May 2011. As a freelance writer, Soraya contributes to www.entitledyouth.com and to PinkMemo’s New York Front Row blog. Her own blog, www.thetrendreport.ch, focuses on the latest trends in fashion, music, beauty, and shopping. Soraya’s sense of style and creativity runs in the family: her mother is a knitwear designer, her aunt a painter/poet, and her grandmother a writer.
