Falling into Fashion |

October is truly the month that fall fashion kicks into gear. When it comes to shopping, women either love it or hate it depending on what you are looking for. Sometimes it’s just a change of perspective for the new season (or store) that takes shopping from being a task to being a free-for-all (we wish) experience! This fall, there’s something for everyone of every age and every style. The palette for Fall 2007 still features black but goes beyond with a broader of palette grey, navy, burgundy, chocolate with colorful shots of blue, yellow, pink, red and green in various tonal hues from icy to brights. |

Trend-spotting:
- Toughen up girly girl dresses with the addition of a unique shoe, belt or jacket.
- High waist skirts and pants define a waistline and create a new feminine silhouette.
- Skirts are key elements this season; work with layering tops or switching out a top with the addition of a jacket, which can take you from day to night.
- Cropped jackets work well with dresses, skirts and trousers for versatile looks.
- Kick your wardrobe into high gear with ankle boots, patent shoes and ghillie “oxford lace-up” shoes with heels.
- Handbags range from metallic to bright in clutch and satchel styles with interesting textures, hardware details and even unique fabric mixes.
- Take an outfit from “so-so” to “wow” with the addition of the right jewelry—whether its delicate pieces or chunky cuffs.

It's all in how you put an outfit together that reflects style - your style. The question you might ask, is where do you find the best key pieces this season to add to your wardrobe? Check out CH: Carolina Herrera in NorthPark Center. According to designer Carolina Herrera, CH: Carolina Herrera lifestyle boutiques are for "the modern woman who is sophisticated, strong, confident, and active," Mrs. Herrera continues, "This is a woman who likes to be classic with a modern twist." The CH: Carolina philosophy is to present entire outfits; yet allow the outfits to be broken up so the pieces can go with other elements in a woman's wardrobe. "You can mix things. You can create your own look with different elements in the collection," comments Mrs. Herrera. The boutique features clothing, accessories, jewelry and handbags for women but also clothing and accessories for men, children and even pet accessories. It's all about a more relaxed, luxurious product mix that will suit men and women and make it practically a one-stop shop. |

If you prefer wearing pants, they are still an important element for fall and work well with a bell sleeved blouse layered with a vest or create a new look with the addition of cropped jackets or stylish coats. This "Katherine Hepburn-esque" presentation definitely makes an elegant statement. Coats are a sleek part of the wardrobe that work with just about any piece in the collection. Cotton, organza, silk, wool and nylon are presented in colors from silver-grey to charcoal and black in lush fabrics and tweeds. Other colors found in the collection include neutrals of white, stone and khaki with the addition of deep sapphire blue and ruby mixed with bits of scarlet, teal and silver accented with leather for a very distinctive yet feminine appearance. |

Handbags like the Luchese and the Andy bag are hot items. The Andy, shown in brown crocodile is a 'killer' bag and also comes in suede, calfskin leather, calfskin with an embroidered logo rather than tattooed, and shearling and is also available in a rainbow of colors to compliment any ensemble daytime or nighttime! Jewelry finishes off the collection with chunky bangles of various textures and metal finishes and adds a touch of feminine whimsy with details like bows and delicate necklaces. Shoes can create a streamlined look by staying in key with a monochromatic look or make a statement by adding a jolt of bright color to any black or grey outfit. |
