Traveling is the perfect opportunity to hone your personal style: You’ve got limited space and lots of adventures. The good news is there’s no wrong way to accomplish your mission. To wit, we checked in with travel-loving designers Yigal Azrouël and Stacey Bendet of Alice + Olivia – they’re complete opposites on everything from design aesthetic to packing philosophy.

Azrouël is currently planning for his spring 2011 show, while Bendet is taking a summer tour around the U.S. -- on an Airstream bus, no less. PinkMemo tracked them both down and got the skinny on travel necessities, favorite vacation destinations, and what inspires them.
“I find inspiration in everyday life, and travel is a part of that,” explains Azrouël. “But it's not specifically how people are dressing at the destinations. I can be influenced by the nature, architecture, even the food at their local markets. I was just in Kiev, and the blues and greens of the buildings were such a pleasant surprise - I carried that visual impression with me.”
