wrappers or jelly beans,” she shares. “And I just love to decorate with it, too. Like on Thanksgiving, I like to use chocolate foil turkeys.”

Other fun tricks to learn while unwrapping your sweet life? Getting together and making something that everyone—from kids to the chicest of elders—can enjoy is a great way to bring friends and family together. “I like to make caramel apples where you can roll them in chocolate and candies and other yummy things,” shared Lauren. I already plan on attempting that one at my next dinner party to get guests to mix and mingle over dessert—it’s sure to be a fun way to break the ice between new friends.

As for your Christmas wish list, you’ll probably want to peruse the Neiman Marcus Christmas Book for a look at Lauren’s contribution. “It’s a life-size gingerbread house that’s over six feet high and sells for about $15,000 I think, and it’s completely all edible,” she laughs. “It’s amazing, really a dream come true—I’d love to live in it!” We know our parents would never have put that under the tree…

If you thought we’d miss the opportunity to ask Lauren what it was like growing up with a fashion icon father (Ralph Lauren), you thought wrong—we’re curious people! “He was a very good mentor,” she dishes. “I was fortunate to learn about style and how to dress at a young age—some girls just don’t know and never learn what looks good on them.”

An adorable way to say: “Hey, who needs fruit baskets when you have lollipops?”
