CADILLAC CONCIERGE: It's silent in the cavernous brick-and-concrete Dallas Contemporary in the Design District. "It's like a graveyard in here," observes Peter Doroshenko, with a tinge of disbelief. "There should be music playing." Soon there will be. As the new director, Doroshenko plans to transform the museum into a multidisciplinary venue that showcases art blended with its cultural siblings—including fashion, music, and photography.

"Contemporary culture is not just art," said Doroshenko, a dynamo who is as intense in person as he appears in his photograph. "The art will be focal, but we will also touch on some other things."
He's already talked with Juergen Teller about shooting artful fashion photos on the streets of Dallas. "We will definitely be doing a photo exhibition with Juergen Teller and actually have him do [a shoot] in Dallas that would then be printed in a magazine during the exhibition, so that the whole world or the whole U.S. will get to see the Dallas streets, the Dallas culture, the Dallas geography,in the photographs,"
