CADILLAC CONCIERGE: I've died and gone to heaven, and this is the food they serve, swooned my son, 14, as he savored a bite of Godiva chocolate cake at Eddie V's Prime Seafood. He wasn't talking only about dessert, where, admittedly, he's easily transported to joy by chocolate. He meant the whole meal -- the marbled Wagyu beef morsels he cooked himself on a hot black stone nestled in a bed of rock salt, the red snapper with Jonah crab sauteed in lemon-chive butter, the lightly creamed spinach, the decadent potato and Guyere cheese fritters.

He even liked the wild Pacific salmon -- a fish he normally refuses -- because it was incredibly fresh and clean, the best salmon we had ever tasted.
Eddie V's, an Austin fave for 10 years, has finally made its way to Dallas after setting up shops in Fort Worth, Houston and Scottsdale, Arizona. Anyone who loves fine seafood, lavish dining and a jazz lounge will be glad it did.
