CADILLAC CONCIERGE: From Belton, Texas, to Stockholm, Sweden, young designer Levi Palmer, 28, is proving that Texas style will travel. The young menswear designer has a knack for structured outerwear with an avant-garde edge. “I love movement and attitude in clothes,” explains Palmer. |

“I have always been a fan of the late 70’s and early 80’s.” His deconstructed and asymmetrical designs, precise workmanship and rocker aesthetic wouldn’t be out of place amongst the designs of some of the top master menswear crafters, yet Palmer is fresh out of design school. However, despite his age, this Texas native has been on a long journey that has paid off in spades: Palmer was recently named the newest member of the men’s design team for H&M.
The clothing powerhouse approached only Palmer -- out of forty students in his class at Central Saint Martins in London – after seeing his graduation collection press show. Impressed by his work, they contacted Palmer’s tutors, started the interview process, and now Palmer is Stockholm-bound. “It has been a very long journey to get to this stage and it has been riddled with ups and downs,” says Palmer. “But thankfully the ups usually last longer than the downs.”
