NICEST NAILS: As one whose mani-pedi never lasts past the awkward key fumble at the front door, my latest nail obsession is nothing short of a beauty miracle. Posh Nail Spa offers OPI’s Axxium, a gel polish that is applied in layers between quick drying periods under a heated ultraviolet light. Though only around 30 of OPI’s popular shades are offered, the lacquer job promises to last two weeks. I’ve had mine for three and there isn’t a chip to be found. Added extra: it’s dry before you leave, so you don’t have to hobble out in foam shoes or have the greeter search for car keys in the endless abyss that is your bag.

COOLEST CUT: My last haircut was a quick flip of the head over the sink and a go at my ends with kitchen scissors. I know, appalling, but I hated haircuts - until I spotted the stylish outpost that is Hair by Charlie; run by Charlie Price, the fashionable face you’ve seen gracing ads at atelier Hadleigh’s. Intimate, relaxed, and shabby-chic, this hair experience is easy and fun. Price (inspired by art and fashion) keeps himself up-to-date on trends by working NYFW, ensuring that you won’t come out looking like a Vidal Sassoon ad circa 1995 (worst fear, anyone?). Bonus: When you say “just a trim,” that’s just what you get.

BEST BODY: Black Swan mania aside, we’ve always envied dancers’ long, lean bodies. Beyond Pilates offers Beyond Barre, a workout that melds ballet and dance to achieve flexibility and extension. With the help of a barre and 2-lb. weights, your legs will be reshaped to turn outward (like a dancer’s) and your tummy will be flatter than ever. It’s more fun than the gym, the instructors are personable, and you’ll see a positive difference in your body in no time. Fun fact: This workout defines muscles without putting on bulk. I wonder if we can get our hands on some Rodarte workout gear a la Natalie Portman…
