Dallas Contemporary’s Peek/Wish! Art Auction 07.15.2010

The Dallas Contemporary held their annual Peek/Wish! Art Auction at the new location at 161 Glass Street, and this year's shindig was bigger than ever. To honor the new address, a host committee of 161 of Dallas' finest art lovers came together to throw a sold out event, tripling the amount raised for the artspace last year! Amidst the sea of ladies and gents, you could spot sponsors Roger Kobes of Kobes Arts and BCBG/Max Azria's representative, PR director Patrick McGregor, who came from NYC for the event. Co-chairs Brooke Hortenstine and Capera Ryan, along with honorary chair Betty Blake, mixed and mingled with guests Jo Marie Lilly, president of the Board of Directors, Patricia Meadows, Catherine and Will Rose, Kelli and Allen Questrom, and Tom Fagadau. The fun didn't stop at the cocktails and convo though - Christies auctioneer Piers Davies flew in from NYC to auction off 20 pieces of art during the live auction, including the Angelbert Metoyer (who came from Houston to attend) piece Niven Morgan and Shelby Wagner took home. Three auction lots came straight from the private collection of Kenny Goss and George Michael, a Jean Pierre Khazam, Kristian Von Hornsleth and Paul Hosking. Whew! Art, fashion and fun: we're already resting up for next year!
