FASHION AT THE PARK
NorthPark Center’s signature bi-annual event – Cadillac presents Fashion at the Park, returns this fall. Vogue magazine will be covering the event as the national media partner and Lancôme also returns, with National Artistic Director Ross Burton and his all-star team of make-up artists to glamorize the models. |

With 18 top designers the shows will be held in a luxury tent over four days from Thursday, November 1 thru Sunday 4. The runway shows will feature Fall 2007/2008 collections and include Oscar de la Renta, Valentino, Max Mara, CH Carolina Herrera, Barneys New York, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom’s and many more. Fashion at the Park is a public event and offers an exclusive experience to fashionable shoppers. So you don’t have to go to New York (or be a celebrity) to be a part of these high-end fashion shows. A complete list of runway shows and times are available online. Ticket prices will vary, starting at $25 and all seats are reserved. A percentage of proceeds from the ticket sales will go to a group of charitable organizations. REFLECTIONS: WORK BY MICHAEL FAIRCLOTH
This fall the Texas Fashion Collection and The Fashionistas are presenting an exhibition of highlights from the career of Michael Faircloth. This Dallas designer has been working in the fashion industry for more than twenty years since he graduated from the University of North Texas.
The exhibition will include over twenty evening gowns, dresses, suits, and wedding gowns that have been designed for Texan clientele for events all over the world. There will be suits from Laura Bush and gowns from other First Ladies from the twentieth century. As well as an evening suit Faircloth designed for Louise Gartner, a Dallas philanthropist from 1985 and an evening gown for Mrs. Guy Griffith who wore the gown to the 2003 Crystal Charity ball.
The exhibition will take place from September 21 thru December 21 at Fashion on Main and will be open Wednesday and Friday noon to 5pm and Thursday’s from noon to 8 pm.
