The 8th Annual Rising Star Awards
The fashion fête of the season will take place in full force on November 8th with Fashion Group International’s Rising Star Awards. The 8th Annual Awards Ceremony will honor community leaders and Dallas' rising stars in the Fashion and Lifestyle Industries with a stylish silent auction benefiting Attitudes and Attire, a fabulous Awards program, and a most divine dinner. Michael Faircloth, world-renowned fashion designer, will serve as emcee and will introduce these Rising Star Award recipients:

Vicious Pink Exhibit at Centraltrak
Centraltrak, the UT Dallas artist-in-residency facility in Fair Park-Deep Ellum, presents Vicious Pink, an exhibition pushing pink from the subversive to the hyper-real while offering thoughtful commentary on the use of pink through symbolic references, materials, and design. Artists enlist pink materials to the hilt while straddling the line between high art and camp. Centraltrak gallery hours are Wednesday through Sunday, 12 to 5 p.m.
