For ladies who lunch, here’s a buzz-worthy launch. PinkMemo Dallas and W Dallas - Victory introduce FASHION DISH, a monthly luncheon trunk show series where guests will find a way to indulge their inner designer.  Experience a savory 3-course meal at Craft, with cool cocktails and fashionable finds from leading and emerging designers.

PinkMemo and invited guests will kick off the FASHION DISH series during the 2nd Anniversary Party hosted in the Social Room at W Dallas - Victory. The January celebrations will feature the Spring/Summer 2009 collection for Zero+Maria Cornejo with informal modeling during the party and a special designer appearance by Maria Cornejo.

The anniversary party will be followed the next day with the launch of FASHION DISH and the Zero+Maria Cornejo trunk show luncheon at Craft restaurant. Guests will sip cocktails, shop, and lunch and enjoy conversation with featured designer Maria Cornejo. W Dallas - Victory has graciously offered to donate $5 per lunch throughout the annual series to benefit the charity Two by Two for AIDS and Art and featured designers will donate a portion of the trunk show’s proceeds.

FIG Finale Sale

8th Annual Wish! Auction and Premiere Peek
Gather your cultured crowd for the annual Wish! Premiere Peek and Auction on Thursday, January 29th and Saturday, January 31st, respectively. Premiere Peek, a sneak preview of the art for auction will take place on Thursday evening from 7-10 p.m. Specified attire is “jeans & jewels“ and the color green. The Wish! Auction, a high-energy auction spearheaded by Sotheby’s executives will commence on Saturday evening from 7-11 p.m. Specified attire for the Auction is glamorous green. With cocktails, light bites, and desserts at the Premiere Peek and a heavy buffet including salad, main course and dessert at the Wish! Auction. Online Bidding begins Monday, January 12th and will take place through Friday, January 30th. The Live Auction includes 20-25 pieces of artwork, with the Silent Auction featuring 50-75 pieces.

John Adelman Exhibit at Holly Johnson Gallery
Get thee to the gallery in January for John Adelman’s exhibition entitled Up to…half. The artist’s new drawings continue to follow the traditions of rule-based art and utilize one or more systems that ultimately direct the creation of the work. These rule-based systems are combined with his obsessive mark-making and can be derived from mathematics, logic, and/or personal and consequential rules that he sets for himself. These processes allow the artist’s hand to show through and result in works that are completely unpredictable.
