A Night at the Peacock Terrace, circa 1922
The famous Peacock Terrace, once located on the 18th floor of the Baker Hotel, will soon be recreated for the Junior League of Dallas’ 50th annual ball. The Baker Hotel was demolished in 1980 however the legend of the ballroom has lived on since it’s day in the Roaring Twenties and will continue to live on through it’s recreation at the ball.
Join the ball chair Elizabeth Gambrell and honorary chairman Dianne Cash at the twenties themed ball, A Night at the Peacock Terrace, circa 1922, to celebrate fifty years of the JLD, sponsored by Sewell Automotive Companies. The famous terrace has relocated to the Omni Dallas Hotel for the celebration including dinner, dancing and a silent auction.
After the ball, guests are encouraged to continue the Roaring Twenties theme at a hidden speakeasy, Club 1922, sponsored by Dallas Southwest Osteopathic Physicians. But don’t forget, just like the twenties, you need a password to get in!
