Alex Tran enjoyed Asian-inspired hors d’oeuvres and deliciously sweet lychee cocktails. Auction pieces included donations from Season 2 Project Runway winner Chloe Dao, Judy Yang, Prashe, Sumie Tachibana, and Khanh Nguyen for Nha Khanh. It was a stylish evening of charitable toasts, deliciously mixed with gorgeous designs.
Another blend of brilliant fashion was the Plaza at Preston Center’s Plaza Style event on September 23, benefiting The Fashionistas. In glamorous white tents complete with a red carpet, Plaza Style showcased the boutique-style shopping center’s most fashion-forward Fall pieces in a show that ran throughout the party. Designs from some of our favorites, including POME, Calypso, Café Coton, Betty Reiter, and more, were featured. Guests Shirin Askari, Molly Nolan, Rhonda Sargeant Chambers, Kate Hall, Megan McQuery, and Hamilton Sneed enjoyed the lively atmosphere that bubbled with Moët and Chandon and specialty cocktails from Belvedere. It was a delightful array of furs, leathers, tights, and tweeds, and I left ready to shop my way to the next charity event—and more than ready for cooler weather.
The Saint Valentine’s Day Luncheon Kick-Off party was yet another fab Fall teaser. The elegant cocktail reception was held October 12 at the stunning home of Mary and Luke Crosland. With co-chairs Holly Pelham Davis and Kate Rose Marquez, the stylish soiree served as a theme-announcement party for next year’s 27th Annual Luncheon
