BY TIFFANY HALL | | | | | | | Charming spring fêtes were a sure bet as warmer breezes and greener scenery descended upon Dallas. Third time’s clearly a charm, as the March installment of FASHION DISH didst follow flawlessly after January and February’s stylish sessions. ‘Twas all artful elegance with the sensitively cerebral designer Yeohlee Teng making an all-too-brief yet opportune trip to Dallas for the occasion. The festivities began on the evening of Friday, March 20th with a private reception in honor of Yeohlee at the Bluffview home of Teann Nash. Guests gathered to meet and greet the designer in the fittingly spectacular setting, as cocktails and light bites were presented on Nash’s picturesque patio, a most breathtaking background. | | Betty Reiter, Yeohlee Teng & Cindy Rachosfky | | | | | | | | The savoring of Craft cuisine ensued during Saturday’s tasteful luncheon as Yeohlee brought forth creatively calculated pieces from her signature line, YEOHLEE, including Spring and a preview of Fall 09. Betty Reiter, owner of the namesake boutique located in The Plaza at Preston Center, who carries the collection, co-hosted the fashion presentation, which was produced by Jan Strimple. Fashion Dish guests such as Myra Walker, Michael Crow, Melissa Meeks, and Cindy Rachofsky perused Yeohlee’s designs and poured through her book, YEOHLEE: WORK whilst enjoying sumptuous cuisine and conversation. Quite delectably unforgettable. | | | | | | | Katrina Szish and Brandt Stead | | ‘Twas a thrill of a Thursday on April 2nd as PinkMemo, together with Martin + Osa welcomed Katrina Szish, fashion journalist and pop culture expert, for a most enlightening shopping sesh. Guests gathered at the NorthPark Center outpost for M+O to dish with Szish on the latest trends and currents in the culture of fashion whilst enjoying cocktails and perusing M+O’s substantial stock. Robyn Wise, Dan Pritchet, Anh Trieu, Jeny Bania, Joanne Yurich, and Valerie Elizabeth savored the company of Szish, as well as her expert style suggestions, and mused over M+O’s offerings accordingly. The passing hours found many fawning over chic, flat sandals, understated yet unique jewelry, and refined casual separates such as smart blazers, cozy knits, and chic workwear. With M+O plus the Memo and the pleasant presence of Szish, ‘twas quite the sartorial sum of parts. All lauded Lana at Craft Restaurant on Thursday, April 16th for the fourth installment of FASHION DISH featuring jewelry designer Lana Fertelmeister. Moscow native and Chicago dweller Lana appeared personally to present her line, LANA jewelry, to a glamorous group that included Jen Appling, Pamela Martin Duarte and Bridget Boggess. Chuck Steelman also appeared on behalf of Neiman Marcus Willowbend as the carrier of LANA Jewelry. Modeled by Amy Mueller, oohs and ahhs ensued over the Moscow Collection, with pieces that were inspired by Lana’s birthplace, as well as the Luck ‘N Love designs for which Lana is so well renowned. | | | | | | | | On Thursday, March 5th, all applauded the big O…the other big O, that’s OrganiCare, dear…during the launch of the new pure performance skincare line at Nordstrom Galleria. OrganiCare founder Jamie O’Banion appeared to present the pristine products, all of which are USDA-certified organic with patented technology and amazing ingredients such as organic essential oils and pure amino acid compounds. | | | | | | | A glam group gathered to behold the line and preview the new Perfect your Pout Lip Collection, which features a most sumptuous plumper for the lips. Guests such as Rhonda Sargent Chambers, Holly Davis, Robin Ladik, Joanne Yurich, and Roni Proter were privileged to indulged in product demonstrations whilst enjoyed cocktails and conversation and fawning over O’Banion’s organic offerings. Before March came in like a lioness, toasting ensued for Renée Rouleau’s anniversary bliss. On Thursday, February 28th, ‘twas revelry for Rouleau as supporters of the skincare guru flocked to the Sky Lounge at One Arts Plaza for the launch of Rouleau’s latest product offering, the fantastic Triple Berry Smoothing Peel, and to celebrate her One Year Anniversary. Mantastic waiters in T-shirts emblazoned with the words I RENÈE ROULEAU passed sips and bites to a gorgeous group of guests including Victoria Snee, Courtney Reum, Bianca Filio and Roxie Benetar. With summer days close at hand, a bounty of benefits awaits for those seeking social satisfaction.
