DALLAS | SCENE | 03.01.2010 | Haley Schultheis.   Dallas has certainly been cozying up to March and once again, hand in hand, is love and spring. Charles Dickens once wrote, “It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade.”

A most fitting description of the Dallas social scene that hasn’t quite made up its mind as it skips from winter into the fresh new season. From the glamorously dark Mardi Gras Masquerade at the House of Blues, to the bright and flowery Saint Valentines Day Luncheon at the Hilton Anatole, Dallas events soaked up the remnants of evenings in velvets and furs while catching a scent of the colorful bouquets of fashion shows and spring events to come.

Playing the soundtrack all year has certainly been the Junior League of Dallas. With a rockstar theme this season, the Junior League held its Inaugural Spring Fashion Show Party on February 2nd at AMPM Restaurant and Lounge downtown. Over 200 guests attended the event and mixed with the show’s featured designers: Abi Ferrin, Patti Flowers, Khanh Nguyen, Shemara Jeyarajah, and Oscar Fierro who will be participating in the Rock the Runway Fashion Show and Designer Competition at
