A fashionable set of fetes did February properly provide. From annual must-attend’s such as the St. Valentine’s Day Luncheon and Fashion Show to a divine ‘DISH’ sesh with THUY, and artful upper-crust assemblage at the Dallas Contemporary and Forty Five Ten, ‘twas a month of love and luxe in which I eagerly dug in. The lunch hour of Wednesday, February 25th brought forth delightful designer Thuy Diep for the FASHION DISH series hosted by PinkMemo and the W Dallas - Victory.

Straight from her fabulous fall presentation at New York Fashion Week, Thuy brought forth her glorious spring summer 2009 collection as well as the fall lookbook in order to present a most proper pre-order offer. She spoke of the inspiration behind her collection, noting the optimism behind her designs drawing from the joy of her recent nuptials and an overall feeling of whimsy and exuberance. With cuisine provided by Craft and the glorious THUY Spring Summer 2009 collection presented by the designer herself, a gorgeous group of guests including Christen Wilson, Cindy Rachofsky, Holly Haber, Courtney Tennison, Pamela Martin Duarte, and Jenny Kirtland enjoyed the exclusive affair.

The Dallas Contemporary was a ‘site’ for sore eyes on Thursday, January 29th and Saturday, January 31st, as the smart arty types gathered for the Wish! premiere peek on Thursday and came together again on Saturday for both the silent and live auction. The event featured works from local talents J.D. Miller and Allison V. Smith, as well as many other outstanding offerings, with proceeds benefiting the Dallas Contemporary. Attendees included Jeny Bania of Neiman Marcus, Joanne Yurich, Ana Pettus, Kate Wagner, and Lucy and Steve Wrubel, as well as Dallas Contemporary Executive Director Joan Davidow and Premiere Peek chair Brooke Hortenstein. Divine. On Wednesday, February 4th, the Grand Pavilion at the Dallas Trade Mart was packed with lunching ladies and gents for the 12th Annual Kim Dawson Attitude Award Luncheon and Fashion Show benefiting Attitudes & Attire. The lovely Rhonda Sargent Chambers presented a fashion show featuring designs by Paulette Martsolf of Allie-Coosh, and, in following, Executive Director Lyn Berman presented the 2009 Attitudes and Attire award to Karen Farris, CEO of Roach Howard Smith & Barton. Honorary host model Casey Thompson from "Top Chef," and Honorary Chair Clarice Tinsley of KDFW FOX 4 were also in attendance, as well as Holly Forsythe of Sambuca.

Later that evening, I meandered over to McKinney Avenue for Forty Five Ten’s fab soiree honoring photographer David Denniger, the latest installment in FFT’s ingenious Artisans series. A most chic congregation mused over Denniger’s intriguing documentary photos whilst indulging in delightful bites courtesy of the T Room’s own über-talented chef, Greg O’Neil. I, myself, savored the company of Forty Five Ten’s Alli Davis and Melissa Toman whilst haute host Brian Bolke worked the crowd alongside the divine Shelley Musselman, fabulous as always in head-to-toe Rick Owens…love the Rick…so sublimely slick. The evening of Thursday, February 5th proved to be sufficiently satisfying, with a first stop at the Ritz Carlton Spa’s Beauty Happy Hour for an Intraceuticals treatment with fab rep Katherine Park (a little pick-me-up for the pores I do adore). A subsequent drop-in at the Preston Hollow home of Maria and R. Jock Stafford revealed a gorgeous gathering of guests for the 25th Anniversary Saint Valentine’s Day Luncheon & Fashion Show patron party.

Opening their divine dwelling in celebratory anticipation of the of the February 13th luncheon, the Staffords entertained guests such as Stanley Korshak’s Crawford Brock and Bret McKinney, as well as event chairs Janie Condon and DeeDee Lee and provided sumptuous hors d’eouvres from Abacus as well as splendid wines from the Cockerell Family Wine Estates.

The date of Friday, February 13th provided a perfect preemptive love fest with the Saint Valentine’s Day Luncheon & Fashion Show presented by Stanley Korshak and benefiting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. A bevy of beauties gathered at the Hilton Anatole Chantilly Ballroom for the event, which featured a special appearance by design darling Brian Reyes and a runway presentation of his collection. With chic sales director Chelsea Singer at his side, Reyes rubbed elbows with the Korshak crowd and a throng of fabulous fans…a most luxurious lead-in to the Day ‘o Love. For March, look necessarily for notes on everything haute, from the third installment of FASHION DISH to Neiman Marcus fêtes and more…it shalt be glamour galore.
