Out the other evening, a tall stranger approached me and asked me if I was from Dallas. I answered no. Visiting from out of town, the Big Apple to be exact, he preceded to ask, “How long have you lived here? Do you like it?” The truth is, I love Dallas. It soulfully entertains my short attention span with its ever-changing, ever-blossoming, and ever-growing landscape and social scene. Despite trying times, it seems each week brings a kick-off party, a store opening, the launch of a fashion or jewelry collection, or a new start-up non-profit or charity group. This coming fall alone, our city is expecting both a Diane von Furstenberg store and Christian Louboutin boutique in Highland Park Village.
