Oh, Bright City Lights

DALLAS | SCENE | 01.01.2010 | Haley Schultheis.   In Dallas, the splendor of holiday lights in the Park Cities glimmer and glisten with such vigor, that even without the coveted accessory of a blanket of snow (at least once – please), we are still left with a winter wonderland. The city’s authentic spirit this time of year reverberates from every cozy household and sparkles from dashing yet intimate social gatherings. And, if the multitude of twinkling lights and hospitable charm is not quite enough to keep your spirits both merry and bright, the host of cheerful events throughout the winter months are certain to lend you the lavish lift you seek. The first taste of seasonal glitz was served at our very own Fashion Dish with an enlightening visit from Los Angeles designer,

Rozae Nichols on November 5th. Nichols personally introduced her Grecian-inspired collection at Craft restaurant courtesy of The Shak at Stanley Korshak that induced just the right amount of festive sheen and sparkle without too much flash. The elegant informal fashion show was readily applauded by guests including Annika Cail, Terri Provencal, Mark Trevino, Danielle Romero, Pat McEvoy, Peyton Riley, and Jennifer Lee.

In anticipation of a busy month of revelry, we felt our minds and bodies deserved personal attention as well. On November 17th, Dr. Loc Trieu of Oleng and PinkMemo’s very own Maxine Trowbridge hosted the Oleng grand opening, a resplendent evening replete with live jazz, bubbly, and over $40,000 in free treatment giveaways including facials and massages. The soiree was enjoyed by a gleeful crowd including owners Paul Chellgren and Patrick Moebel and the Organicare lovelies Jamie O’Banion and Leesa Smith. ‘Twas a much needed energy boost for all.

On October 28th, Dallasites received an actual lift from famed bra-fitter Susan Nethero at the Intimacy boutique Bra Bash co-hosted by PinkMemo. Oprah’s favorite bra expert divulged her finest fitting secrets to guests including Patricia McCune, Deborah Risman,  Laura Dobbs,

Mark Trevino and Danielle Romero: Attending Fashion Dish at Craft Restaurant, featuring designer Rozae Nichols.
