Pretty Kitty Opens in Mockingbird Station

Maintaining appearances requires a host of activities: haircut, hair color, skincare, manicure, pedicure, and often dreaded waxing appointment.  Let’s face it, there is nothing particularly pleasant about getting a bikini, brow, or leg wax but we know, as modern women, that it is necessary.  Thankfully, for those of us out there who tend to purposely skip our waxing appointment, there is a new place in town where they have managed to make the waxing experience a pleasant one.

The Pretty Kitty, the popular California-based waxing boutique is now open in Mockingbird Station and is known for their inviting, clean, and elegant atmosphere. The estheticians at The Pretty Kitty use a special technique (using soft wax) that minimizes pain, promotes comfort, and is quick and efficient.  While their specialty is the Brazilian bikini wax, if that isn’t your thing, the estheticians at The Pretty Kitty offer all waxing services and promise to make it the most enjoyable waxing experience you’ve ever had.  With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, The Pretty Kitty has put together a special “Pamper Someone You Love” gift certificate.  For gift certificates purchased between February 1st and 14th, the recipient will receive a gift bag with after-care products, a sassy Cosabella low-rise thong panty in addition to other fun items.

This location represents the company’s first Texas location, and sets a new industry standard for its inviting atmosphere, elegant Hollywood Regency style, and bespoke design elements.  While cozy and inviting in feel, The Pretty Kitty’s Mockingbird Station store enjoys grand interior scale with stylish oversized furniture, high-coiffured ceilings, warm colors, and elegant fixtures in crystal and chrome. “Our goal was to marry the trademark vintage style of The Pretty Kitty’s California boutiques, with the modern structural energy of Mockingbird Station,” comments Laura Sargent of Northworks Architects & Planners, LLC, the design firm for The Pretty Kitty at Mockingbird Station. “The result is a bright, fresh, luxurious space, conceived entirely around the comfort of the customer.” As for the haute decor and fixtures rarely seen in other salons, Sargent answers, “The contemporary Dallas woman expects the best.”

Hours of operation are Monday from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., Tuesday-Friday from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
