Olivia Palermo the Face of Rochas

Olivia Palermo is what you may call an “It” girl. Sure, she’s a socialite, model, young, and beautiful. But a lot of women in New York and around the country have those envious characteristics. However, what Olivia possess one can’t define, she has the “It” factor. Palermo’s rare quality may be one of the reasons Rochas chose her to be the face of their brand.

The French fashion house Marcel Rochas Couture was created in 1925, but in 1953 founder Marcel abandoned his couture line and focused on perfume. While the brand has slowly returned to its first love of fashion, it has never stopped creating new and fresh fragrances. Their scents may not be as common as Creed or Channel, but making Olivia Palermo the new face of their company could certainly boost their popularity.

Palermo is no stranger to being in front of the camera. You may recall her bumpy tenure as the well crafted villainous on MTV’s hit reality show, The City. She was vilified for being fashionable while envied for being fabulous! But now the socialite is shedding her rich girl stereotype and showing fans a softer, sweeter side with Rochas. Rochas, whose lead perfumer is Jean-Michel Duriez, is overjoyed at the Palermo partnership. And they’re not alone, Palermo was quoted as saying, “While Rochas has ignited French Roots, I think every woman can get the sense of joie de vivre and confidence in their style that the Parisians emanate”. If you’re eager to learn more about this city girl’s new venture, you’ll have to wait for more details during Paris Fashion Week on February 29th.
