D&G Hearts Madonna

Domenico Dolce, Stefano Gabbana and Madonna: three names with a lot of star power and one high profile relationship. The pop legend is already starring in the design duo’s current advertising campaign, but now they’re cementing their friendship with the first co-branded project Dolce & Gabbana has ever done in their career.

A six-piece collection of sunglasses bearing the logo MDG will go on sale at Dolce & Gabbana stores and Sunglass Huts worldwide in May. And as homage to their collaborative star power, the logo emblazoning the earpiece of the classically shaped shades is studded with stars.

“Why not do something together and unite two very strong and high-profile names?” Dolce told WWD. The Material Girl’s foray into fashion started with M by Madonna for H&M, she soon became the face of brands like Louis Vuitton, and most recently an exclusive junior line for Macy’s under the label MG Icon. With this latest collaboration, it seems the pop princess is trying to cement her place in the fashion world.

The collection will range between $248 to $289.
