Consider top talent touted.  Top Texas talent, that is.  On the evening of Wednesday, June 29th, the style set gathered at The Venue for the fourth annual Texas Next Top Designer Gala for a chic celebration applauding the talent and creativity of Texas-based designers from the likes of Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Houston.

Over three hundred guests moved to beats by DJ OBI Jenn, and enjoyed a runway fashion show featuring twenty of Texas’ best designers, as well as a special fashion tribute to designer Geoffrey Henning concurrent with the unveiling of Henning’s new Fall 2011 collection.

And, credit was given where credit is due with a special tribute paid to other TNTP success stories including those of Abi Ferrin, Rachelle Dauphinee, and Jeanette Wilkinson.

There was, of course, the evening’s big announcement: the winner of this year’s competition, Austin-based Jeannie Vianney of BY Jeannie Jewelry; an unprecedented win as, for the first time ever, a jewelry designer happened to land the prize.

And, with the offering of $5,000 for production and expenses, a fashion editorial and pop-up shop opportunity, branding and marketing expertise and media exposure, and, ultimately, a trip to New York Fashion week, this prize is Top Notch.
