Blue Print Your Home

Shopping for clothes makes me happy as a clam, but when it comes to choosing home décor, I become overwhelmed. Just ask anyone who has been in my apartment: besides a bed and a couch, the only decorative accents are the dresses hanging from the curtain rod. So when I walked into Blue Print, a décor haven located in a stately old home on Fairmount, I couldn’t help but smile.

The home furnishings shop – because of its unique home-like setting – allows you to see just how a certain light fixture will look in the entryway, or what a pair of chairs will look like beside the fireplace. Get the vision without having to be an actual visionary!

The shop was conceived by five friends – Cynthia Collins, Caroline Davis, Leslie Jenkins, Carrie Jane Pogoloff, and Lucy Ward – who decided to pool their talents after years of travelling the world and collecting furniture, antiques, and accessories for their own personal businesses. Not only is the selection of furniture and accessories to-die-for, but the chic little boutique is already being rented out for photo shoots, weddings and parties.
