Bally’s New Blood

It’s barely been two weeks since Brian Atwood presented his final collection for Bally, but the 159-year-old Swiss brand has already filled the void with not one, but two creative directors.

Design duo Michael Herz and Graeme Fidler resigned from Aquascutum suddenly, soon after their last show, citing a desire focus on new projects, during the apparently amicable split. With Bally’s management wanting to focus more on ready-to-wear, it seems that Herz (whose forte is womenswear) and Fidler (a menswear designer) are a good fit.

The duo will be finishing out a period of notice at Aquascutum, and they are expected to show their first collection for Bally next season in Milan.
