David Meister Wows Dallas at W

Quite a handsome crowd gathered on the wet-deck of the W Dallas – Victory Hotel for a fashionable fête yesterday evening. Dashing designer David Meister put on a poolside runway show presented by PinkMemo and head-turning redhead Jan Strimple that started at sunset and flowed on into the starry Dallas night. Before the start of the big show, champagne-toting servers swerved between happily mingling guests such as Pamela Martin Duarte and debonair husband Ignacio, gal-pals Lisa Garza and Abi Ferrin, Lesli Anne Lehman, Stephanie Quadri, the tall and handsome Chuck Steelman, Holly Haber, and Betty Reiter.

As guests enjoyed the early summer breeze and breath-takingly fabulous views of downtown Dallas, pretty young things from the Campbell-Wagner Runway Agency strutted their stuff down a plush pink carpet in Meister’s sumptuously sexy fall collection. The simple, elegant cocktail dresses and form fitting, stunning gowns were perfectly complimented by sleek, pulled back hair styled by the Kevin Charles Salon. The clothes wowed the Dallas crowd, who are already big fans of the designer – you could spot some of his confections on the ladies in the crowd.

Rather than send the girls backstage, Meister and models mingled with guests so they could peruse the collection with the man-of-the-moment himself. All in all, the night was a complete success, with never a dull moment! Everyone went home happy and serenely satisfied, and with a bedtime snack in hand as Sprinkles saw the guests off with a mouth-watering cupcake. Pink, of course.

PinkMemo + Christopher Martin

Art patrons and fashion lovers alike gathered this past Friday evening for a smart little party hosted by PinkMemo and Christopher Martin.  PinkMemo partnered with Martin to offer glimpses of the artist’s pieces housed inside the sleek, contemporary Victory Park artspace.  Martin, a native of Florida who lives and works from his studio on a limestone cliff in Cedar Hill, Texas, produces Abstract Expressionist works that are collected by private and major corporations worldwide.

Christopher and wife Stacy Martin welcomed guests such as Dan Pritchett, Stephanie Moore, and Justin Ghirardi, who enjoyed cocktails and conversation whilst musing over nature-inspired works produced by the artist’s manipulation of heat, wind, water, and pressure.  Organically extraordinary.
